We are delighted to announce that General Sir Gordon Kenneth Messenger KCB DSO* OBE DL has joined our Advisory Board.
General Messenger retired as the UK’s Vice Chief of Defence Staff in 2019, after over 36 years service in the Royal Marines. His career was notable for becoming the first Royal Marine to be promoted to 4* rank for over 50 years, and the first member of the naval service to be awarded a Bar to the Distinguished Service Order for over 70 years. As Vice Chief of Defence Staff from 2016-2019, he was the second most senior military officer in the UK, responsible for the day-to-day management of the Armed Forces.
Since retiring, he has enjoyed a portfolio Board career spanning the private and public sectors. In October 2021, he was appointed by the Government to lead a strategic review into leadership and management within UK healthcare and social care.
On his appointment to the Archangel Imaging Advisory Board, Gordon said: “I’m delighted to be supporting the Archangel Imaging team at such an important time. They are developing great products, and they epitomise the talent, creativity and technical skills that are so prevalent across our tech community, and which are key to the UK becoming a world leader in data-driven technology”.
