Archangel Imaging announces appointment of Pauline Norstrom as advisor

We are thrilled to announce that Pauline Norstrom has joined Archangel Imaging’s Advisory Board.


Pauline Norstrom is the CEO of AI strategic advisory firm Anekanta Consulting. Prior to this role, she acquired over 20 years specialised security industry experience through senior board positions on a number of international technology businesses specialised in the field of video surveillance and analytics.


Her focus is on the research, development and application of AI and disruptive technology across a number of sectors including civil security/video surveillance, transportation, retail, manufacturing, critical national infrastructure and smart cities.


Pauline is also a strategic advisor to the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) on AI and Automated Facial Recognition policy, having previously led a number of specialised technical committees and chaired the Association's Board for a two year term in 2014.


She is a champion of the ethical and legal application of digital technology in sensitive security processes; and played a significant role in the development of a number of standards and best practice guides. From digital evidence to video privacy masking and the latest guide to the ethical and legal use of automated facial recognition software, published by the BSIA in early 2021.


She recently presented evidence to the All-party Parliamentary Group for AI on the subject of national security and facial recognition software, and regularly advises specialised industry boards focused on the ethical adoption of new technologies.


She is also a fellow of the Institute of Directors and an AI advisor its ERP/Digital Group which champions the use of AI in business, from space technology through to the last mile.

Pauline is a regular author, speaker, awards judge, and contributor on the subject of AI, video surveillance and cyber security and has also been recognised through a number of awards for her contribution to the security industry.
