Reflecting on the Past, Embracing the Future: A Recap of 2023

We moved!

2023 was definitely a busy year for our team! We’ve been through a healthy dose of positive changes, and we’re happy to share them with you.

We started the year with a move to our bigger & better premises in central Oxford.

Read about our latest success!

Successful Flight Trials

We completed successful flight trials of our Xnaut GENIE GNSS-denied navigation solution in Spain, US and UK. It was herculean hard work from our team members. They went above and beyond!

Argonaut V2 Development

Our Argonaut v2 development was completed and the first units were delivered to the Ministry of Defense. Moreover, Argonaut v2 had successful trials at the hands of end users in Caerwent and Copehill Down as a part of Army Warfighting Experiment 2023.

Here’s a sneak peak from the field!

We signed an MOU with Optics Specialists

We signed an MOU with optics specialists, Circle Optics, Inc., to cooperate in combining advanced AI and optical hardware for advanced navigation solutions on unmanned vehicles. The strategic partnership supports the development of technologies integrating Artificial Intelligence-based (AI) Co-Pilots into drone navigation systems. This development enables beyond visual line of sight (#BVLOS) and autonomous operations of the drone, even in environments when GPS is being denied (jammed) or spoofed.

Project SeaWatch

We completed the Xnaut SeaWatch demo sessions for Project SeaWatch. With funding support from UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) as part of the Future Flight Challenge. Xnaut SeaWatch demonstrates the immense potential of integrating uncrewed aircraft with Artificial Intelligence.

We were thrilled to announce our strategic partnership with VOTIX to perform joint R&D and integrate technologies for Navigation in GNSS-denied environments, Smart cameras, independent of infrastructure, and intelligent machines for hybrid teams.

Annual Company Retreat

We orchestrated our yearly company retreat in the vibrant city of Bristol, UK, a locale that not only added a refreshing change of scenery but also reinforced our belief in the importance of stepping away from our desks, whether they be at home or in the office, to come together as a cohesive team. Throughout the event, our emphasis was on fostering collaborative strategies and engaging in unique product sessions, all within the distinctive ambiance of some of Bristol's quirky coworking spaces. The week concluded on a high note with an exhilarating axe-throwing session, infusing our team with renewed energy and camaraderie.

If you haven't had the opportunity yet, take a moment to read our blog on "The Power of Retreats".

We were honoured to be recognised again as a 2023 Gold Standard Internship Host by Oxford University. This accolade reflects our dedication to internship programmes, the positive feedback from our interns, our consistent provision of opportunities, and our ongoing communication and responsiveness.

The team is on a continuous growth trajectory in 2023, and we are excited to extend a warm welcome to additional team members in early 2024.
